India  is heading towards Cashless Transactions  in daily  routine sharply .

We must be aware about the  safety associated with all types of Cashless Transactions like Credit Card  , Debit Card  and  Net banking payment systems .

Study suggests that Credit Card Payment systems are the most vulnerable systems and  contributes towards almost 71% of Fraud cases between April 2013  – June 2016  , which should be avoided by  default.

In comparison to Credit Card  , Debit card payment  is  much  more  safer. If you’re worried about using your payment cards online, you can run a few simple checks to make sure the site is safe. For example, check for a padlock sign in the browser window, which indicates the site is secure. You should keep all of your passwords for extra verification safe and secure, and always log out of a website after making a purchase. Finally, make sure you regularly check your statements for unexpected debits.

Now Netbanking is more secure, because the buyer has to enter userId and password only at banks website. Nothing regarding the buyer’s account is entered at merchant’s system. Therefore , In net banking the transaction happens in customer’s bank domain. .

The benefits of Net Banking are as;

1. It doesn’t need you to enter card no ,cvv number etc every time you make a payment.

2.Internet banking transactions are routed through the bank while credit and debit card transactions are routed through card issuers like VISA and MasterCard. Hence in case of any payment getting stuck it takes more time to reconcile

3. Internet banking has another ladder of authentication provided by OTP on your mobile phone which makes transactions more secure

4.The cost of internet banking transaction to bank is cheaper than the cost of debit card transaction.

Whether it is bill payments, funds transfer or creation of a fixed deposit, internet banking allows you to do it in a fast and convenient way. And  it is quite SAFE compared to  other option.
